DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATION
Various excipients and process fluids, particularly water, are widely used in pharmaceutical production. Water for medical purposes is divided into two parts: purified water and water for injection (WFI). Purified water is obtained after two-stage reverse osmosis and passage through an EDI (demineralization) system. It is used for out-of-body reagents, biochemical products, cleaning medical equipment, etc. WFI (water for injection), after distillation, is used for the production of injectable drugs.
